Description
This project was created from a colourway and a logo from the client to a finished, developed website. My role was to create the style and the design for this website and to manage the project from start to finish.
Project type
This live project was initialised from the Luton council, who has a project about where they want the city to be in 2040. The brief given was to create a visual style for their website based on their logo, colours and font.

Methodology
Wireframes
Wireframes was created in order for the client to view where content could go and visualise hierarchy.

Style exploration
After the hierarchy was set, a style exploration commenced. Three versions of the home page were created and sent to the client who wanted a combination of version 2 and 3.

Combinatorial design
To take the clients wish of a combination of the second and third design, a combinatorial design process ended up in the finished result. An appreciation for the colourfulness of the second style was expressed, so this was also kept throughout the design.

Hi-fi prototype
A hi-fi prototype was designed to communicate how the full website should look - to both client and the developer. Once the client had approved on the design and content, the developer started creating the website in Craft CMS.
Software
Adobe XD
Adobe XD was used to create wireframes as well as the prototype, and was shared with the client to communicate the look and feel of the design and facilitating discussion around different elements. XD was further used collaboratively with the developer to discuss elements and variations.

Craft CMS
To develop the website, Craft CMS was utilised mostly by the developer to create the website, and I was also helping to add content.

Adobe Illustrator
Illustrator was used to create assets for the website - such as the pledge badge (to be shared by users on social media) and target icon which used as a visual element.
Result
My role
My role in this project was to develop the design, but also to act as a project manager in order to get the website live on time for the clients deadline of an event. The finished website resulted in a bright and happy website with features such as users being able to add their pledge with intuitive forms.
